We're all curious as to how the rumored Kid Icarus game for the Wii will look like, but more importantly, how Pit will look like. It's lucky that we managed to come images were found in the web, labeled as Factor 5's concept art for the game. This much we'll tell you: the Pit they're working on - if the project is true, of course - is nothing like the Pit we all know and love. Check out the concept art in the full article.

Matt Casamassina dropped a rumour on the IGN Insider boards. Lo and behold! It concerns Kid Icarus and the Wii!

Don’t pass out or anything. This is really JUST a rumor at this point and we have no reason to believe it’s true. But that said, one of the things floating around GC 2006 right now is that Nintendo may announce a new Kid Icarus for Wii.

Again, a rumor. R-U-M-O-R. And it’s more likely to be false than not, which is why I’m merely posting it to the boards right now.

Say it with me: Rumor.

Good. Now that we have that out of the way, sure would be pretty cool if it could, by some chance, turn out to be true.

Yeah, this rumour has actually been going around for a while now. Matt seems to just be acknowledging that. However, it seems extremely likely. Pit being in Brawl will only help sales of a Kid Icarus game. All they'd have to do is launch Kid Icarus after Super Smash Bros. Brawl to maximize sales!

Two other games that are rumoured to be announced are sequels Battalion Wars and Super Mario Strikers.

Is this famous game for the NES going to spawn a version for the Revolution?

The Gunpei Yokoi-made game for the NES platform, Kid Icarus features an angel named Pit who's trapped in the underworld. He was given a magical bow by Palutena, the Goddess of Light who was imprisoned by her enemy Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness. Pit's main goal is to save Angel Land and rescue Palutena as he faces the evil minions of Medusa.

A lot of gamers are hoping that there will be a Kid Icarus version for the Nintendo Revolution. Game master Shigeru Miyamoto implied in a past interview that such a version was under consideration. There's also a rumor that a Rev version of Kid Icarus is to be shown at E3 this coming May. Although this is still speculation, a lot of people are really excited to see what changes have been made to the game. Those who want to see Pit turn into a helpless eggplant again with the help of Medusa's Eggplant Wizards keep hoping against hope that this rumor becomes real.
