France-based Infogrames has a modest forecast for Atari's survival horror Alone in the Dark (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC) by developer Eden Games.

David Gardner, recently appointed Infogrames CEO, told Reuters UK that the company expects two to three million copies of Alone in the Dark to fly off shelves during this fiscal year.

That period in question begins March 2008 and ends April 2009. The game is slated for release on all its intended platforms except the PS3 this June 20 in Europe and June 24 in the U.S.

Infogrames' head honcho explained that projected sales of Alone in the Dark is expected to help the struggling company escape from decline territory.

"We want to stop losing money," said Gardner. "This management's team number one goal is to get a business plan together that gets us to a break-even level."
