Kept your fingers crossed about the possibility of House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return making its way to the Nintendo Wii console? Developer Sega has just confirmed that this rumor is indeed true - expect this title to explode unto your Wii, Wiimote, and Nunchuck like so much decaying zombie torso soon.

The company further disclosed that the game was to feature six modes of play, including the standard Arcade and Time Attack modes. And aside from the single-player campaign, House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return will also support multiplayer co-op. Sega Europe's Marketing Director Gary Knight had this to say regarding the announcement:

The House of the Dead franchise has been revamped for today’s gamer looking for fast-paced shooting action on the Wii. Utilising the new Wii Zapper, the player can get the renowned light gun experience in their own home.
