One of the earliest Wiibrew ever released, Chess for the Wii, finally gets an update and now features Wiimote support - the original game only had support for the Game Cube controller. More details after the "read more" link below.

You wouldn't know unless you try out Drawing Box, a homebrewed "child's game" for the Wii using exceptional Crayon physics. Downloaded the first build of Wii Tanks for the Nintendo Wii yet? Addicting as it is, Tanks version 0.1a was a very early prototype build. It had four-player deathmatches locked in, courtesy of homebrew developer Grillo, but as extended gameplay soon revealed, there were a some bugs that left a lot to be desired. Wii Tanks version 0.3a swats a lot of them down nicely. Oh and there's a little more.

An update from homebrew developer ulti has arrived for the Wii homebrew game Missile Command, and the alpha version of the point-and-shoot missile defense game is now blessed with anti-crash measures for the recently incorporated split missiles (aka multiple independent re-entry vehicles or MIRVs) in version 0.4a. Remember the old days of Missile Command? Back then, we had just a knob to tilt around so that the crosshairs lined up right. Constant speed of the targeting reticle had us thinking strategically and proactively instead of reactively. Now imagine replacing that control scheme with the Wii remote - just point and fire. Homebrew developer Knight0fDragon recently took the time to update the homebrew port of the old school Nintendo shooter, Duck Hunt. The latest build, version 1.81, brings the homebrew project closer to the original title with the addition of better sounds as well as a couple of bug fixes here and there.
