So it's legit after all. Not that there was much doubt to Logitech making a new drum kit for Guitar Hero 5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) though. Those who enjoy a good in-game rocking out might be interested in the drum kit, now that it has been confirmed to be for real.

The only thing we know so far about the drum kit is that it's slightly less bulky than its predecessor, and that it'll be out in September later this year. Pricing and other specs are still a mystery, so we'll just keep you posted once we get word on those.

I wouldn't be suprised if the old one was "incompatible" so you have to buy the new one...

I really hope that GH5 increases compatibility, not diminishes .... although it's really their own heads that they're chopping-off by playing games with everyone. I'm perfectly happy with Rock Band 2 and the Ion Drum set. Unless they're some tremendous track list on GH5, I don't think I'd even buy it ... unless they made the Ion and more guitars compatible.

i was a huge fan of GH3, got GH:WT and could understand why all my DLC couldnt be copied over... but cmon now.. "metallica" a rumor of van halen one and now 5 anyone else getting the feeling this is all being washed out?

at least with rockband i only had to buy the second one and rent the first one..... all the dlc is good accross the board (to include the AC/DC pack, not sure about the beatles one..)
