Green Day - Image 1

Rock Band will soon come in a shade of Green. With a quick announcement, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool, and the music of Green Day will be adding classic and new tracks into the Rock Band Music Store.

"We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix," said Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong. "They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music." Starting July 7th, three songs (21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, East Jesus Nowhere) from their upcoming album, 21st Century Breakdown, will be going live.

Since they mentioned classic tracks, the song selection will not be limited to the new album. They didn't specify which ones are coming, but here's to hoping they add the entire Dookie album into the mix.
