Gouging? - Image 1

If you go to the GameStop/EB site, you'll find out that they're listing their GameStop Brand Wii component cables for US$ 49.99, while they are listing the $29.99 Nintendo brand cables as pre-order.

Is this price gouging? Do we really even have to ask? More importantly, does this really even matter? Especially since, any savvy netizen would probably just recommend that you just look to other more affordable means of component cable acquisition.  ...e *cough* Bay *cough*

Sigh. This after the fuss over opened game cases. Anyway, if you want to see the listing yourself, feel free to check out our read-link below.

Unless he was sarcastic, nobody should EVER buy anything from Madcatz. Once I wasnt as wise and bought many things from them, all of which are now broken.
To be safe, it'd be best to stick with a Nintendo brand Component cable (cause its nintendo, of course).

from Madcatz are fine. The other stuff is crap.

IIRC the cables are made by a third party and branded Madcatz anyway.

I already have S-video and component, both are very nice.

Don't buy the controllers or switches. But the cables are good quality and I got mine for 20 bucks. Aslong as you are not constantly disconnecting and reconnecting there is no reason for them to break.

 » Even about Cables!!!

Clearly people will find anything to make a fuss about these days. Honestly I wouldn't even buy the Gamestop ones over Nintendo's as far as quality goes. Plus they're cheaper. No one is forcing anyone to buy the higher priced ones. I'm sure it costs Gamestop much more than Nintendo to get those cables made, even if not by that much. And how much do you think you're gonna pay for Monster or Psyclone Component Cables. Those things are like $60 a piece.

They also charge $5 more for the nintento usb wifi adapter than Nintendo charges on their site.
