Wii - Image 1Steven Spielberg's known for big-budget, special-effects-laden movie masterpieces so some people may be blindsided by news that the first title in the planned Spielberg-Electronic Arts collaboration will debut on the Nintendo Wii instead of on the more graphically powerful PS3 and Xbox 360.

According to gaming news site CVG, an EA conference call confirmed that the first title in the collaboration will indeed be debuting on Nintendo's next gen video game console. This title, known simply as "Wii Spielberg", will join EA Playground and Boogie as an EA Wii exclusive.

No news yet on what the game could be all about, but the game has been scheduled for release before the end of fiscal year 2008. Rumors have also tagged it as a possible title set in WWII. Hopefully more details will be revealed in the coming months. Two more titles are also expected from the Spielberg-EA deal.
