Don King Presents: Prizefighter - Image 1

A lot of video game boxing fans were saddened when news broke out that EA was closing down its Chicago studio responsible for the Fight Night series. A lot of us feared that we won't see a high-quality boxing sim for the next few years, but now there's hope that we will in the next few months.

Coming to the rescue of the sweet science is 2K Games studio Venom Games with Don King Presents: Prizefighter. They're prepping up another round of pugilistic fun named after the legendary boxing promoter whom we all probably recognize for his accomplishments and hairstyle.

Featuring nice visuals, realistic boxing action and a deep career mode, Don King Presents: Prizefighter should prove interesting to boxing enthusiasts and casual fans alike. It's set for release in Q2 2008 on the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS, so watch out for it.

I wanna a good clean fight! LET'S GET IT ON!
Hope this one is good - I can see a few glitches on the picts already so they have a lot of work to do!

I'll pass! I was sick of boxing with the last game to tell the truth, so glitches or not, I wouldn't buy it anyway!!

this one takes a turn for the better. I love boxing and it would be cool to have a nice, new title to pound on.

I met with Joe Tesitore from ESPN2 and the voice of Fight Night. He told me that he not only did the play by play, but EA used him as a consutant to develop the game. 2K better take this approach as well or they will create a non-realistic game that will really suck. I'm a boxing correspondent for www.fightnews.com...maybe they'll call me.

This reply is way late, but still, I agree with your points. They better make this one good. They should get Larry Merchant for this or something. Or maybe 2K can call you and me so we can do the commentary. I'm a Fightnews reader. Your site does some pretty nice work. Keep it up!
