 » NTSC/PAL

I noticed that it only plays backups of NTSC games...

Does this mean it wont play original PAL Wii games if I installed this into my European Wii?

 » Wow

With all these modchips coming out for the Wii, piracy is going to go up like a See saw.

Nintendo really needs to sort out a new mobo or something for the Wii, otherwise, I fear a DreamCast....

 » Piracy?

There is no way this modchip will cause excess piracy, how come everyone always say "i see another dreamcast" this is nothing like that situation AT ALL. With a dreamcast u did not need a modchip to play the burnt games so everybody did it, the majority of the people will not get this installed on their system. Also nintendo will definetly NOT come out with a new motherboard revision for 2 main reasons, 1 these chips have nothing to do with the motherboard they install on the DVD drive, and 2 they didnt even change it from GC to Wii why would they make the change now? that dont make any sence at all. anyways Happy Modding :D

Noticed, i said "Motherboard or something". Plus, how hard is it to change a DVD drive? After building serveral computers, It's not expensive, or hard to do. So, Im just stating, that unless they do something, they ARE going to lose a small profit to piracy

 » shakes head

I didnt buy a dreamcast till they where dead and like $35

had a few good games

either case people modded the crap out of xbox ps1 ps2 psp few even modded saturn modding nad piracy doesnt kill system companies use that as an excuss for loss profits when its a side step to them making crappy games not many people want to buy

this mod chip shouldnt hurt the game system the system goign to sell no matter what and as far as game sales well like I said before only one game I care to play on wii is zelda so far other than sports and play
from the games in the case at stores I see why alot of places made you buy huge bundles cause the games wouldnt sell any other way LOL
not to offend anyone but if im going to play call of duty 3 im going to do it on my xbox or my 360 not a wii same with farcry etc
there is a reason 3rd party games are not selling they suck on wii so far

LOL as it stands right now I dont think I want to mod mine ... now if there was a ps3 mod out I might consider buying one them expensive POS

 » Where 2 Buy

The WiiKey seems to be in short supply. I had to cancel my order with ModChipstore because the ETA kept changing. Ended up ordering my WiiKey from Consolesource and it arrived yesterday. Installation was a piece of cake.

 » WiiKey Install is easy.

The WiiKey install was super easy. Almost as easy as modding my good old PSOne system back in the days. I would say this will not kill the machine, look at PSX / PSOne and PS2 as well as the Xbox - alive and kicking and doing just fine!!!!

if any of you are looking for detailed info on how to install, check out http://www.ps2cover.com/wiikey-installation.shtml
