 It's numbers time yet again! Famitsu's come out with their hardware sales charts, albeit a bit late this week. Still on top: DSi. And what's this we see inching closer to the top, a mere 4,000 units shy? It's the PSP with 40,000, just a tad bit below the DSi who has 44,000. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, edges out over PS2 with just 2,000 more units sold.

will it go back to normal or is it really over for the 360??
hopefully the 360 picks up again, playing cod on ps3 makes it painfully obvious that the ps3 has picked up sales because psn is starting to fill up with americans and loads of idiot people.
not that the americans are a problem other than some taking games a bit to seriously and scream at "you" for killing and not grabbing the bomb (one or two sound almost tearfull in their frustration) ..etc because tbh those types are fun if only to wind up. but the idiots (from whatever country) with headsets are annoying playing *****ing eminem or some rock ***** through the lobby and making stupid pointless *****ing noises, stupid singing etc
I tell them to go back to XBL and they tell me they would but their 5th xbox just broke so they bought a ps3 for some consistency...
Damn you microsoft.

Only a fanboy would choose to post something about Xbox 360 sales declining and not looking at the big picture.
DSi and PSP sell the highest because a household can have multiple of them for multiple people
PS3 is next because for $300, you're getting a bluray player AND access to many exclusives that are just released and being released, not to mention no online fee so its perfect for little kids
Wii is next because for some reason people think a motion controller is awesome. Again, little kids.
360 is next because for $300 you're getting less than PS3 and there are no exclusives lately except GTA4 expansions and Forza 3. Also the online fee puts some people down when they see that at the same price they can get something without an online fee
PS2 is last but surprisingly its still selling. It's 9 years old.
So Musev, shut up and look at the big picture. I have all 3 systems and I play now PS3 b/c of the new games, 360 because I feel like I have to so I don't waste my online and Wii last because well, nothing interests me.

Glad to see the PS3 up there with the PSP. It's time Sony got the numbers up. As for the 360, it deserves to stay down the list.
It boggles the mind why an unreliable piece of hardware like the 360 has so many diehard followers. "Oh but my 360 has only RROD's 3 times, it's okay, because I looooove Microsoft!"
Any hardware that would break down on me more than twice in a year wouldn't deserve to keep me as a customer.

its about time the 360 died! i cant believe it lasted so long to begin with. all its ever had is problems. i still remember the feeling of disgust when i bought one. i started using it and was so underwhelmed by it i almost threw up. i played it for an hour or so and then went back to my PS3. since then i have modded it and i use it to "test" games out. if i like them i buy them on the PS3. its classic thet its down to PS2 sales already. the PS2 has been around for 9yrs! although i fell that the biggest win here is outselling the wii. TBH i think every house in the world has a wii by now though ;)

The current market will never allow a game console to have such a long and profitable life span. as much as they all try, 360 will never compair to ps2. When Micro$oft releases their next gen system they will drop 360 like a rock just like they did to the original xbox. sony just stopped production on PS1 about a year ago, and ps2 sales clearly still stay strong.
