ESRB rates Wii VC Bubble Bobble, Alien Soldier, Shining Force II - Image 1

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has already rated Bubble Bobble, Alien Soldier, and Shining Force II for the Wii Virtual Console. This means that we will be seeing these titles on the U.S. Wii channel pretty soon. For those who can't remember these video games, Bubble Bobble was originally released on the arcades while both Alien Soldier and Shining Force II came out for the Sega Genesis.

Bubble Bobble is a classic that has been ported on multiple systems including Nintendo's NES, Gameboy Advance, and even the Nintendo DS. The game has two bubble dragons named Bub (Green) and Bob (Blue) traveling to the Cave of Monsters to save their girlfriends from certain doom.

Alien Soldier originally came out in Japan way back in February 25, 1995 and later in Europe. This side-scrolling run and gun video game has Epsilon Eagle, a genetically engineered parasitic creature, on a quest to bring the evil criminal organization Scarlet to justice.

Finally, we have Shining Force II which first came out in Japan but was later released both in the U.S. and Europe. It has the game's hero Bowey traveling across different lands and recruiting allies in an effort to defeat the dark forces trying to revive an ancient evil creature of unimaginable power.

Bubble Bobble, Alien Soldier, and Shining Force II are pretty solid titles and should provide many hours of solid game play for retro gamers. Hopefully, Nintendo makes an official announcement on when these games will be released and how much Wii Points each one will cost.
