It seems Electronic Arts is still giving Wii owners the runaround when asked about a possible appearance of Rock Band (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360) on Nintendo's next gen home video game console.

According to GamePro, EA's Bryce Baer said in an email that EA "[has] not announced any plans for a Wii version at this time." A PlayStation 2 version of the game has already come out, though, so a Wii version is not that farfetched.

Plus hey, this is EA. Bringing games to almost every available system has practically been a trademark of theirs over the years. Case in point: Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos said last year that EA will, "at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform."
