Nintendo Wii Virtual Console: Double Dragon NES coming to US Howdy, retro gamers! Nintendo has a treat for Wii gamers tomorrow when it releases the classic beat 'em up game, Double Dragon, on the US Virtual Console.

Double Dragon is arguably one of the greatest video games of its time. It's so successful that since its first appearance in 1987, it's spawned numerous sequels, a comic book series, an animated series, and even a live-action movie.

The game follows the story of Billy and Jimmy Lee. Billy's girlfriend Marian was kidnapped by a gang who demands to know the secrets of Billy's martial arts style. In true beat 'em up fashion, Billy chooses to fight the entire gang instead.

The game has appeared on numerous platforms, but in case you were wondering, the version coming to the Wii is the NES version. Double Dragon will be available for 500 Wii Points.
