The Dolphin Team definitely kicked it into high gear. Did you like the Update yesterday much? Well this one you're sure to enjoy more. Much more. By a very long mile. Go Nintendo has posted and subsequently "reviewed" Super Mario Galaxy as it runs on the GameCube and Wii emulators for Windows.

Watching it, I cannot help but feel swayed by the light, lilting music. And I fully, wholeheartedly agree with the narrator when he said you might as well imagine if only Nintendo reconsidered and tweaked their hardware specs a bit more.

Want to know what am talking about? Go on, click play and see Super Mario Galaxy running in full 720p glory for the first time.

Now fully playable on Dolphin.

 » Not so smooth

It's a shame whoever captured the footage doesn't have a rig capable of making it shine. A smooth 30FPS or up would be a thing to behold.

That said, one has to imagine what such a rig would cost compared to a Wii... or even a PS3.

 » Have you ever

used FRAPS? He even said, the game itself runs around 45-60 FPS on his rig, its just that FRAPS really screws with your CPU.

Looks slow. But good work all the same.

I never did go back and get all the stars. I started to but got too busy doing other things. I wonder if there's a way to convert the Save Game file from the Wii to work on Dolphin?

This really shows off how obsolete the wii's hardware spec is.
