Bomberman sure likes his minigames, and with Bomberman Land's Wii version having its price tag taken down a few pegs (about US$ 20 worth), now you can, too, without feeling the burn on your wallet. Check out the entire details in the full article. |

It seems that the Nintendo Wii edition of Hudson Soft's Bomberman Land (PSP, Wii) has its own share of minigames, and it's in this gameplay video trailer update of the title that we get a closer look at the many side attractions we'll be putting Bomberman through the paces with. From skiing to jump-rope, the world's favorite bomberperson is certainly as multi-talented and eager as a certain plumber. Check out the video in the full article. |

Those bomb blasting Bomberman characters are back in an all new game for Nintendo's next gen Wii console. Bomberman Land features a load of mini-games that pushes the innovative gameplay the Wii offers players to the limit.
Veering away from the traditional head-to-head bombing matches the original game is best known for, this latest game in the series instead features a host of mini-games in the tradition of other Nintendo classics like Warioware and Mario Party. Below we have two videos featuring two of these mini-games, namely the "Factory Showdown" and the "Bomballoon". While I'm pretty sure Hudson Soft will be able to get away with inserting a couple of bombs into the game, Bomberman Land gives fans a different perspective to the game by letting them try out competitive yet addicting mini-games using their well-loved Bomberman favorite characters. The game is set to be released this January 10 and will be available on both the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation Portable. In the meantime, enjoy the two gameplay videos we have below. |

What we have for you here are a couple of screenshots for Hudson Soft's Bomberman Land on the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii.
The Wii version has been known to be in development for some time now
while the build for the Sony PSP has only been officially revealed at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
While staying true to the nature of earlier Bomberman video games, these new titles do offer something new. Bomberman Land Wii, for example, offers multiplayer sessions including a Battle Mode that can support up to four players in a single match. The PSP version, on the other hand, is more of a compilation of mini games centered around the Bomberman universe. Both titles will be offering a deep story mode, new locales, and various customization features. The return of Bomberman is certainly looking great and we can't wait to get our hands on both games. Hudson Soft just came up with a massive confirmation that should tickle the fancy of Bomberman
fans. Accordingly, new iterations of the franchise are currently in
development and will be released separately on platforms Nintendo DS,
Nintendo Wii, and Playstation Portable.
First up is the follow up to the successful DS game Bomberman Land Touch!. Those who've played the first game will be familiar with Land Touch! 2 as most of the game's designs were retained with a bit of improvements such as bigger areas, customization options, multiplayer, and around 40 mini games. The multiplayer feature will offer up to four players in both single and multi-card play. The Battle Mode, furthermore, can support up to eight players locally and four through Nintendo WiFi sessions. It should be released some time in January 2008. The new PSP game Bomberman Land, on the other hand, is a compilation of mini games centered of course in the Bomberman universe. There's a deep collection of mini games allowing players to choose from sports-like games and adventure type ones. Some of these will be compatible with multiplayer mode. Aside from that, Bomberman Land will also have a Story Mode where players are tasked to collect and rebuild the broken pieces of the Bomberman Land. Character customization will also be available. Lastly, the game will also have the classic Bomberman Battle game which sports 47 stages and five different Battle Modes. Finally, we have the Wii title Bomberman Land Wii. Just like the above mentioned titles, the Wii game will offer both single player game and multiplayer sessions. The Battle Mode can support up to four players in one go and new weapons and locales will be offered to gamers. Take note that these are just overviews of the titles as more will be announced by Hudson Soft in the future. While waiting for new details, just take a look at these fresh screens for each platform. Hey, Bombermen and women (or whatever they're called) can throw their own explosive party too. Adding another multiplayer party game title on the Wii is Hudson Soft's Bomberman Land. While screenshots of the mini-games and multiplayer modes can only go so far, here we have two individual videos that focus on both aspects.
The first video shows the various mini-games that you can play. They look fun and insane, from a wacky "whack the other player first with a fan" sort of game to a bubble-popping game that reminds us of Buster Bros. The second video, in turn, shows the multiplayer madness of the game. It's your classic Bomberman versus mode, but, of course, with each stage arena having various little obstacles and tool you can work with. Check it out behind the "Full Article" link below! |

As the Japanese release of Hudson's Bomberman Land dawns nearer, a lot of us Wii owners in the U.S. are still left pondering as to whether we'll ever get to see the classic title reaching our shores. So far, there's still no word on that yet but it certainly doesn't keep us from keeping our fingers crossed, eh? And to prevent Bomberman fanatics' spirits from dampening, we're gonna share with you the Japanese trailer of the game we found in GameTrailers which shows how the Wiimote and Nunchuk will be used. The trailer also gives us a glimpse at some of the mini-games and the characters you'll be seeing in the game. The game will reportedly retain the general feel of its DS counterpart, Bomberman Land Touch...except of course the touch screen features. Harhar. So instead of sulking about the uncertainty of a U.S. release, just hit play to get a temporary fix for your Bomberman cravings. Enjoy! |
