Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Image 1

Wii owners itching to start shredding on their Wiimotes to the timeless tunes of Slash, Gene Simmons - and dare we suggest, to the insane wailings of Dragonforce - here's some very good news that's sure to get you busting out your air guitars in a stadium-rocking solo: the first packshot of the Guitar Hero III: Legend of Rock bundle for the Wii!

As you can see, the guys over at Neversoft made sure to give those of us with Ninty's latest console the special treatment. Not only do we get the game in this bundle, we also get our very own Guitar Hero controller - and what's so great about it is that it's wireless! Simply pop in your Wiimote of choice into the slot of the guitar, and you're free to rock out without ever having to worry about the wires! Awesome!

Not only that, there's also a sticker pack included so we can customize our very own guitar into the legendary ax of righteous rock and roll justice we've always dreamed of having. Not just awesome, but beyond awesome.

The Guitar Hero III: Legend of Rock (also available on PS3 and Xbox 360) bundle for the Wii will be wailing into US shores on October 21, at the paltry sum of US$ 89.99 each. Not bad, Neversoft, not bad at all! Updates as we get them!

 » Quick Question...

Will a wii remote with the NYKO rechargable battery fit into the slot? Or will it be too big for it?

good question, but i don't think the nyko battery cover is that much bigger than a regular one.

since the only difference in size is because of the rubber padding on the back (which isn't much), I'd think it'll probably be fine. If not, I suppose I'll just keep my P4 wiimote in it for play since my P3 and P4 ones don't have rechargeable batteries yet. My P3 wiimote stays in one of those Nyko Classic Controller Grips, at the moment.

Why does it cost the same as other consoles? It should cost 10 dollars less because the games for Wii cost 10 dollars less. Thats how it was with GHII (between ps2 and xbox360)

It is, the other two are $99.99, this one's $89.99.

i hope that the guitar isn't using the wiimote as it's motion sensor, cuz if it is, the price should be significantly lower then the others, considering there's less hardware in the guitar. And not to mention it'll drain batteries from my wiimote.
