For those of you who are tired of the serious war-themed games floating around the market, Kuju Entertainment invites everyone to try its arcade-like 3D armored vehicle shooter. Affectionately called BWii, Nintendo has released two more videos featuring more gameplay action and a short cutscene from the game.

The tanks from Battalion Wars 2 are just as springy and as mobile as their previous iteration (Metal Slug, anyone?) when the game first came out on the Nintendo GameCube. The Wii version is anything short of amazing in terms of visuals, with the large-scale battles drawing the player into the experience.

Unfortunately, both videos are lacking a little lacking in the audio department. However, the smooth animations from the videos are more than enough to spark our interest in seeing the full version when it's released on October 29 exclusively for the Wii.

In the meantime, check out the two videos we have on this game.

Battalion Wars 2 by Kuju Entertainment - Image 1

What seems to be the next big Nintendo Wii video game doesn't receive much attention, but now that the official website of Kuju Entertainment's Battalion Wars 2 (affectionately nicknamed BWii) is online with teaser videos, we're excited how the action-RTS will turn out. Whether you're into ground warfare, aerial dogfights, or naval combat, this upcoming sequel has something in store for you.

Don't let the mention of RTS fool you, because Battalion Wars 2 is packed with more action than your favorite shooter and flight sim combined. Players do get to control friendly units, but you'll have to manage that while enemies are trying to take you down with all kinds of futuristic weapons. Skirmishes on land, air, and sea involve fast-paced exchanges of laser beams and missiles.

There was a rumor before about Battalion Wars 2 getting delayed, but there seems to be no stopping the game from its October 29 U.S. release. That's enough time to watch all the short videos on BWii's official website, so make haste and click the Read link below!

Sin and Punishment - Image 1Aside from Endless Ocean, it appears Australia's Wii owners are about to get more game-lovin' in the near future. The country's Office of Film & Literature Classification (OFLC) has just rated Treasure Co. Ltd's Sin and Punishment for the Virtual Console.

This title, originally developed for the Nintendo 64 back in the year 2000, was previously announced to be available on Japan's VC for 1,000 Wii points.

The OLFC has also rated a couple of Wii titles as well, in the guise of Battalion Wars II, and Dragon Blade. DS owners will also be happy to know that Mario Party DS, Naruto Ninja Council, and Gradius 3 have been rated for their handheld.

That's all for the moment - check back in case we pick up more details for any other scheduled Aussie releases.

Battalion Wars 2 gameplay footage found on banner - Image 1

Battalion Wars 2
, or ingeniously named BWii, is Kuju Entertainment's baby that takes combat out of this world, but the way they showcase gameplay footage is definitely down-to-earth. In fact, we've found a wonderfully sought-after piece of viewing goodness on a mere banner which directs us to Kuju London's website.

Beggars can't be choosers, right? Just look closely and you'll get a good glimpse on how the epic battles will look like. Quality is undeniably poor, but it should give tactical action fans on the Wii an adrenaline rush.

Rumor has it that the game's release has been delayed to October 29 from September 24. Regardless, our hands have been itching for BWii since the announcement that the classic GameCube title will get a sequel. For now, just check out the gameplay "video" by clicking on the Read link below.

Battalion Wars 2 for the Wii - Image 1With September of this year seeing some of the biggest games today being released (Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations), it's not surprising that other titles have been delayed so as not to be left completely in the shadows.

This could be the case with Battalion Wars 2 for the Nintendo Wii, with its original September 24 release pushed back to October 29, as you can see in the image to the right of this very article.

Do note that this article is in the Rumors section for a reason, as there's no confirmation yet from the people over at the Big N. Still, it's rather compelling that it was pulled back to such a date.

After all, GameStop usually lists the 1st, 5th or 30th days of a month if they don't know what date a game is actually getting released in. Say it ain't so, Nintendo! We here at QJ.NET have our fingers crossed.

Battalion Wars 2 release date scan - Image 1Get ready to spit-shine your boots and buck up, soldier. Nintendo Power has earmarked September 24, 2007 as the release date of the anticipated Nintendo Wii game Battalion Wars 2. At the left is the scan that reveals it.

The month of September was originally revealed without a specific date in a Nintendo press conference until GoNintendo user Sithmaster 15 presented the scan and it got us all riled up.

If you haven't heard of the game before, now's a good time to pay attention. The first Battalion Wars came out in the GameCube and had a good following. It's a comic-style drawn military combat game with a mission-based gameplay style. Not that much has been revealed about the Nintendo Wii sequel, but a hands-on demo was given in Germany back in August and the word is that Battalion Wars 2 seems bigger and better than the original. We'll keep you posted for more.

The world is once again at war in Kuju Entertainment's Battalion Wars 2, when Commander Pierce and Colonel Windsor of the Anglo Isles are tricked into launching a pre-emptive strike on the Coral Atolls.

There are six different races in the game. Combat is waged throughout five different environments, and mastery over land, sea, and air is a must. Players will get to drive tanks, command ships, pilot planes, and direct their troops to victory.

This sequel to the popular tactical action game boasts more missions, with more than 20 single player missions and more than 15 multiplayer missions. Battalion Wars 2 also has three online multiplayer modes: Assault (instant combat), Skirmish (more focus on tactics), and Co-Op play.

The release date of Battalion Wars 2 for the Wii is yet to be announced. Rest assured, we'll get right on it as soon as the news comes out. For now, check out the cool screenshot below.
