BBC iPlayer - Image 1

Nintendo has announced that the Wii's BBC iPlayer now has its own dedicated Wii Channel. The announcement states that the new Wii Channel is expected to be available from 00:01 on Wednesday, November 18.

“We’re pleased that we’ve been able to work with Nintendo to evolve BBC iPlayer on the Wii, providing a faster, high quality and improved viewing experience,” said Erik Huggers, director of  BBC Future Media & Technology.

To use the new and improved iPlayer, Wii users can download the Channel from the Wii Shop Channel's menu screen. Launching it is as easy as clicking on the iPlayer icon and selecting what BBC show or radio program they want to watch.

 » Tag by region please..

Okay I'll ask the same question I asked about last week's unlabeled Japanese Wii/DS shop update. Is there a reason not to clearly tag these posts with the region they affect?
